Robin and Dianne Barrett receive the Tony Smith Salver for 2024

Tony Smith was the lead referee at Norfolk County Galas for many years and had been a volunteer for the County for over 30 years.Tony’s family asked if the County could have an award to recognise the part volunteers play in the sport of swimming within the County and the Tony Smith Salver was awarded for the first-time last year.

This year the award recognises combined contributions, made for well over 40 years, of Dianne and Robin Barrett. Their contibutions cover such roles as Championship Secretary, Competitions Sub Committee Secretary, County Colours, Gala Helper Liaison, Records, Trophies and County President.
