Adam & Sally Lelean awarded the Tony Smith Salver

During the County Championships, we were proud to once again present the Tony Smith Salver.

Many of you will remember Tony Smith, who served as Lead Referee at Norfolk County Galas for many years and dedicated over 30 years of volunteer service to the County. Tony’s commitment to swimming in Norfolk left a lasting legacy, and his family kindly asked for an award to recognise the incredible contribution volunteers make to our sport.

The Tony Smith Salver was introduced in 2023, and this year’s award recognises combined contributions spanning well over 30 years — including roles such as Officials, County President, Masters Secretary and County Website Manager.

We were delighted to welcome Tony’s daughter, Linda, poolside to present the Salver to Adam and Sally Lelean in recognition of their outstanding service to swimming in the County.
